Since we opened our doors for business in the lakes region, we could have never imagined we’d have grown to where we are today in this thriving and growing community. We provide our customers with service and products equal to the large, corporately owned banks, but with the level of service and 'person-ability' we all like to enjoy. Our History
Lake Region Bank was incorporated January 15, 1915. This charter was located in the current New London Bank location. Paul Vollan purchased the charter October 1, 1970. The Vollan family is proud of its long-term ownership of the bank. They believe local involvement and decision making should be at the heart of how a good bank operates.

Thinking of the farmers in this area Paul opened a branch in Sunburg in July of 1977. Being fully aware of the time the farmers put in, he felt this would make the bank more available for that community. The bank continued to expand and in 1981 opened a location in Willmar, which now makes its home just south of the Skylark Mall.
